What We Believe
All who are serious about choosing the best Bible Study curriculum and other Christian resources for their churches want to know what those who are producing, writing and editing the literature truly believe. Following is a statement of what we at the Caribbean Christian Publications believe.

STATEMENT OF FAITH
Building on a Strong Foundation
1. We believe in one sovereign, all-knowing, all-powerful, omnipresent, perfect and holy God, eternally existing in three persons: the everlasting Father; His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; and the Holy Spirit, the life-giver and enabler. The Triune God created all things out of nothing in accordance with His will and design and for His own glory. God has revealed Himself and His truth in the created order, in the Scriptures, and supremely in Jesus Christ.
2. We believe that Jesus Christ was God incarnate of the Father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, true God and true man existing sinlessly in one person. He lived a perfect life, died physically by crucifixion for our sins, rose bodily from the dead and, in due course ascended to heaven where He lives and reigns Lord of all, High Priest and Advocate.
3. We believe that the Holy Spirit is God dwelling with His people today. He convicts people of sin, regenerates the believing sinner, indwells, guides, instructs and empowers the believer for spiritual worship, godly living and acceptable service. The Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ, enables the believer to understand and apply the Scriptures, and imparts to members of the Body of Christ, the Church, all the gifts necessary for her work and witness in the world.
4. We believe that God created humankind in His own image, as the crowning work of His creation. Persons are therefore beings of unique worth distinct from all other living creatures and designed with a capacity for meaningful relationships. God ordained from the beginning that people should live in families and He made the family the basic unit of a strong and stable society.
5. We believe that our first parents were created innocent of sin but that, misusing their God-given capacity to choose, they disobeyed God and brought sin into the human race. Through the grace of a loving God the person separated from God by sin may, by the exercise of personal faith in Jesus Christ, be restored to fellowship with God. In response to this faith alone, God offers the believer eternal life and enables him to advance from initial salvation, through sanctification in this life, to final glorification in the presence of God.
6. We believe that the Old and New Testament Scriptures are inspired by God in their entirety. The Bible is a divine human book which is fully trustworthy and is the supreme and final authority in all matters of life, faith and practice. Each believer needs to engage in a consistent, lifelong study of the Scriptures and by prayer and meditation, hearing, interaction and application, discover for himself their truth and relevance for his daily life.
7. We believe that there is one holy, universal church composed of local communities of persons who have experienced saving faith in Jesus Christ. The task of the church in the world is to be God's redeemed and redeeming community, embodying in its members the love of Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit through worship to proclaim in word and deed the gospel of God's redemptive love to all earth's peoples. The church, gathered or dispersed, must care for all of God's creation; actively seek the good of everyone, but especially of the poor and helpless; and serve as God's royal priesthood representing God to mankind and mankind to God.
8. We believe that believer's baptism and the Lord's Supper are the ordinances to be observed by the Church and, while not means of salvation, they are channels of God's blessing uniting all who receive them in faith.
9. We believe in the existence and baneful influence of the devil and other evil powers, but that the Holy Spirit empowers believers to experience victory in spiritual warfare against such powers. Their eventual defeat is already sealed by God through the cross and triumph of Jesus Christ.
10. We believe that Jesus Christ will return to earth visibly, and in power and glory, at God's appointed time and in God's appointed order. He will gather His elect, raise the dead, and summon all people to final judgement. Those who trusted in Jesus Christ shall receive their reward and enter into everlasting blessedness and joy in the presence of the Lord in heaven. Those who rejected Jesus Christ or chose to live in opposition to God's revealed will shall receive their just punishment and spend eternity in hell in a conscious state of separation from God. Thus will Jesus Christ bring to fruition His eternal kingdom of righteousness and peace.
